Carmel Valley is a planned community in northwestern San Diego. Unlike other areas in San Diego County, Carmel Valley does not have a long history; it was formed in 1975 by the City of San Diego. It is essentially a residential community.
The Violent and Property Crime rates are far below the national rates. Theft is the primary Property Crime and Robbery heads the list in Violent Crimes.

There are a lot of superlatives attached to this little town by the beach. The San Diego County Fair is held in Del Mar each year and the Torrey Pines State Beach is in the neighborhood. If you feel your pet pooch is a part of the family, then you and your canine pal will love Del Mar’s North Beach Area, also known as “Dog Beach.”
Violent and Property Crime are well below national averages, though Theft is a problem and Burglary is a common concern. Assault and Robbery, however, come close to being non-existent.

Yeah, this is a nice place to raise the kids. Del Mar Mesa is a semi-rural residential community. It has more than 900 acres of preserved open space protected habitat and 10 miles of hiking, biking, and riding trails. This is not one of those new real estate developments. Artifacts dating back 0ver 9,000 years have been found in Del Mar Mesa and the San Diego Archaeological Center is studying them carefully.
Believe it or not, as of this writing there are no indications of Violent Crime in Del Mar Mesa. Theft is the primary Property Crime and the Del Mar Mesa crime rates are so far below the National figures as to be insignificant.

Miramar Ranch North is a bedroom community and the land it was built on was once a ranch owned by the newspaper publisher E.W. Scripps. Despite being a bedroom community, Miramar Ranch North is a busy place with employers like Hitachi, Lockheed Martin, and Medlpact in the neighborhood.
Violent and Property Crime Rates are very small. Assault is the worst Violent Crime and Burglary is the most common Property Crime.

Would you believe that this was once a strawberry patch? Seriously, when the City of San Diego annexed the land for Pacific Highlands Ranch it was known as Rancho Del Sol and was known for strawberry and tomato farms. It is now one of the best places to raise a family, although you probably could still raise some vegetables in the back yard.
Violent and Property Crimes are predominately Robbery and Burglary, but this is not an area of major criminal activity. It is pretty quiet.

Rancho Pensaquitos is named after the first Mexican land grant in San Diego County. The Fiesta de Los Penasquitos is held the first weekend in May and is fun for everyone. There are several parks to enjoy, including the PQ Skate Park for the skater dude in the family.
Burglary and Theft are the only noticeable crimes in the neighborhood, and the Rancho Pensaquitos crime rates are well below National figures.

This is a 1200-acre gem in San Diego County. It has everything that a family with children would want to have. Educational +Entertaining = Fun! Every parent needs to understand that is the equation which best describes the park. Honestly, there is so much to do. Balboa Park has 17 museums, including the San Diego natural history Museum (also known as theNat). The San Diego Museum of Art is also located here.
The Zoo happens to be internationally known and is an animal wonder world where children can learn a lot about the world around them. It is the crown jewel of Balboa Park, and the Zoo itself is worth a day trip.
